Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has renewed the affiliation status with Heritage Christian College for four years. KNUST is a government university established in 1952 by Ghana’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. It is a requirement for a new private university to be affiliated with a government university for a period to receive mentorship in different areas.

HCC got affiliation status from KNUST in 2012. After an assessment by a panel of experts from KNUST, HCC was found to be doing what is required of it as a new university college. In a letter to HCC, the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST,¬†Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso said, “Please be assured that KNUST will continue to provide the needed mentorship to your institution¬†in the running of the above-mentioned programmes.”
HCC is currently undergoing re-accreditation for another period with the National Accreditation Board(NAB), the government agency that accredits universities in Ghana.
