Another start-up business by three students of Heritage Christian College (HCC), PESEZ Farms Limited, has kick-started. The poultry farm business by Patrick Egyir, Samuel Gyesi and Ezekiel Amevor, is one of the initial 8 student start-ups awarded grants totaling GHc100,000 in the maiden edition of the HCC Start-Up Challenge, a business contest for HCC Community members. PESEZ Farms Ltd. was awarded GHC 10,000 to start their business.
PESEZ Farms Ltd. is located at Gomoa Ofaso in the Central Region of Ghana. The main objective of the business is to produce high quality poultry products for the Ghanaian market, and also contribute to the reduction of unemployment which is one of the major challenges facing the country.
PESEZ rolled out the business with 150 day-old chicks imported from Belgium. The business is owned and managed by Patrick Egyir, a Level 400 student at HCC who is the General Manager; Samuel Gyesi a Level 300 student at HCC who is in charge of distribution of the business products; and Ezekiel Amevor, a Level 200 student at HCC who is in charge of procurement.
