Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah

Sam is the founding President of Heritage Christian University College (HCUC), the premier Christian university affiliated with Churches of Christ, and accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

He spent a total of thirty-two (32) years as minister of the Church of Christ, Nsawam Road, Accra, Ghana. During those years, Sam combined preaching and church planting with training ministers and evangelists at Heritage Bible Institute.

Sam holds a Master of Arts in Religion (Abilene Christian University, Texas), Master of Arts in Theology & Missions (Akrofi-Christaller Institute, Ghana), and Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration & Leadership (Biola University, California).

Previously, he served as the Principal of National Bible Institute (Ghana) and a member of the following Boards: Rural Water Development Programme (Ghana); Christian Reliever International Trust; Bible Training Centre-Advisory (Republic of Benin); Kibi College of Education (Ghana). Currently, Sam is a member of the Continental Mission Network; an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Theology, Abilene Christian University, Texas; the Chairman of Hope College Board of Governors (Ghana); a shepherd of the Church of Christ, Nsawam Road, Ghana and the presenter of LifeWords Television broadcast in Ghana.

Sam and Theresa, his wife, are blessed with three adult children and a number of grandchildren. He states his philosophy of life as follows:

“Some live their life purposely to make gains and name;

Others live their life to make contribution;

In the end, some die and become dust; Others, gold dust.

So the greatest use of life is to spend it for something that outlasts life.”
