Biography

Mrs. Wilhemina Odarkor Ofori is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of South Africa. She holds an MPhil. in Information Studies and a BA Information Studies and Linguistics both from the University of Ghana. She represents HCC on the Governing Council of the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries, Ghana (CARLIGH). She has brought HCC into high repute as a result of her activities at various levels of committee activities of CARLIGH. Wilhemina works closely with all departments to provide all materials needed for teaching and learning while also offering instruction in Library Skills. She provides additional support on literature search, referencing and plagiarism. She has had stints with the Balme Library of the University of Ghana, the Ghana Highway Authority Library, the International Business Centre of the SG-SSB Bank and the Eden Learning Centre, Adenta. Wilhemina is also a member of the Ghana Library Association. She is experienced in Reference Management using Mendeley, Cataloguing with KOHA among others. Her research interests include library marketing, library digitization and information seeking behaviour. She is a Christian and married with two children.
